Case study
Butek Tanks
An industrial brand, website and SEO case study showing how stronger positioning, increased search visibility and a clearer route to enquiry helped support commercial growth for this Essex-based company.

“More than design, Alex brought judgment. He helped shape the brand properly, gave us confidence in the direction and delivered a website that felt clear, credible and right.”

Problem
Butek Tanks had the experience, technical capability and project history to compete strongly, but the website was not making enough of that commercial proof.
As the business developed, the challenge was not only to increase visibility, but to make it easier for potential customers to understand the offer, trust the business and take the next step.
What changed
We developed the Butek Tanks brand and website around a clearer industrial proposition, creating a stronger structure across products, sectors and supporting content.
We then focused on SEO, improving on-page content, technical performance, internal linking and search targeting to bring more potential customers to the website.
As visibility increased, we reviewed the homepage through a conversion lens. Key proof points were brought forward, including 60+ years in business, 40,000+ tanks delivered, UK manufacturing, ISO certification, sector expertise and proven projects.
Clearer routes into products, sectors, case studies and project enquiries were also introduced, helping visitors find what matters faster and take action more easily.
Why it mattered
Increasing traffic is only valuable if the website gives people a reason to stay, trust the business and enquire.
Bringing Butek Tanks’ experience, scale and technical credibility to the front of the website means potential customers no longer have to search for the evidence that supports their decision.
The result is a stronger journey from search, to understanding, to trust, to enquiry.
Commercial impact
During the first four months of SEO activity, website enquiries increased from 13 to 23 compared with the previous four-month period, a 77% increase.
Over the wider reporting period, Google impressions increased by 238%, clicks increased by 83%, and average search position improved by 6.2 positions.
With substantially more potential customers reaching the website, the next stage has focused on conversion, making that increased visibility work harder by strengthening proof, user journeys and calls to action.
